UCP of Long Island is Hiring a Human Resources Clerk (P/T) Near Hauppauge, NY

United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island is seeking a part-time HR Clerk to work 25 hours per week in our Hauppauge facility.

Candidate will assist with the administration of the daily operations of the Human Resources Department as well as assisting with employee activities and special projects.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Administrative, photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing, typing, data entry, sorting and distribution of departmental mail and answering phones.
  • Prepares employment verification and response cards for applicants.
  • Assists recruiters with correspondence as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains new hire materials.
  • Assists with employee events as needed.
  • Back-up to Executive Administrative Assistant (answering phones, cash deposits etc.)

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED and 1-2 years of related office experience.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Must be and handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • This position requires lifting (up to 25 pounds), standing and bending for prolonged periods of time.
